On 29th January 2025, the visit to Sula vineyards, a leading producer of premium beverages in India, was a memorable experience for around 150-200 students from the Global Luxury Goods & Services Management (MGLuxM) program and Hospitality Business Leadership (HBL) programs. The journey began early at 5 am as they travelled from Mumbai to Nashik, excited to explore the estate and learn about Sula’s renowned history.

The visit started with a short film showing Sula’s history and its rise as a prominent name in the industry giving students a better understanding of the vineyard’s legacy and expertise. Following the screening, they were given a guided tour of the estate, where they observed the process of creating Sula’s signature blends, from fermentation to storage and aging.

A standout part of the tour was the barrel room, where different blends are aged to refine their taste and complexity. Students also explored the storage and production areas, gaining a better understanding of the advanced machinery and detailed techniques used in the making process.

One of the most engaging parts of the visit was the tasting session. Under the guidance of expert sommeliers, students sampled some of Sula’s finest selections, each offering distinct aromas and flavours.

After this experience, students enjoyed lunch overlooking the scenic vineyard. The peaceful surroundings, paired with delicious food and lively conversations, made for a relaxing and memorable conclusion to the visit.

As the trip came to an end, students departed, taking with them not only knowledge about the craft but also lasting memories of a well-spent day.
