On October 7, 2022, SP Jain School of Global Management welcomed Batch 11 students of the Master in Global Luxury Goods & Services Management (MGLuxM) program in partnership with MIP Politecnico di Milano Graduate School of Business. The orientation event was held at Hyatt Centric, Juhu, in Mumbai.

Smita Jain (Director – MGLuxM, SP Jain, Mumbai) and Alessandro Brun (Director - MGLuxM, POLIMI Graduate School of Management, Milan) extended a warm welcome to the young students and started the event by lighting the lamps. The Directors pumped up the students' spirits and gave a brief overview of the course's benefits.

In an interactive session, the students had an engaging experience as industry experts shared their insights on the changing luxury market landscape and the upcoming trends. The topic for the power panel discussion was ‘Metaverse in the Luxury Domain’.

Following the panel was the student introduction. Batch 11 of MGLuxM featured a diversified group of students from various backgrounds and industries. During the Alumni Talk session, the students got an opportunity to learn from their seniors about the SP Jain life and how they bagged good placements.

The event concluded with a session on the code of conduct, exam, placement policies, and other academic guidelines.

At the end of the day, the students got a glimpse of the MGLuxM program and were really looking forward to the Europe tours, industrial visits and the exposure the place had to offer in the field of luxury.
