The SP Jain GFMB program helped me enhance and grow my business to a whole new level. One of my favourite aspects of the program was our Foreign Educational Tour, where we travelled together with our professors and peers to top business hubs like Dubai, Singapore, South Korea, and Japan. These trips helped me build a truly global perspective on business while also understanding the minute detailing that happens at the ground level in every successful business. This is not knowledge that you get from any textbook. I truly believe that this program will be highly beneficial for everyone out there who wants to grow their business and take it to new heights.
I chose SP Jain’s Global FMB program because of the experienced faculty. The program’s tri-city model has helped me in my personal transformation journey. The one year I spent at SP Jain has made me grow immensely as a person. I have learnt to understand businesses from different perspectives. It has also helped me become more organised, manage my finances and make better business decisions.
The USP of SP Jain’s Global FMB program is the experienced and qualified faculty. Initially, I was under business training. During the program, I gradually took control of some key responsibilities in the business. After successfully completing the course, I started implementing what I learnt and gained confidence and greater control in the business.
The focus of the program was on the challenges ‘new-gen’ business owners, like me, face. So, the emphasis in the classroom was largely on the practical implications of culture, globalisation and technology innovation on business versus just developing theory-based knowledge. The most impressive part of the program was its faculty who worked on improving rather than changing the way we run our businesses. They helped us understand that in order to be successful, we need to create a “winning experience” for our customers.
Each interaction and each lesson has left a lasting impact on my growth as a business owner. The Toyota, Hyundai and Samsung industrial visits we undertook in South Korea and Japan were eye-opening, and so were the opportunities to interact, network and build professional connections with the CEOs and leaders of such iconic brands.
SP Jain has played a significant role in shaping the way ahead for my family businesses – Aarambh Life Science (pharmaceutical raw materials manufacturing company) and MarchVET (veterinary products manufacturing company). The Global FMB program trained me to become a business leader and I started thinking of ways to minimise costs and increase profits. My family has welcomed the changes I have brought about in the businesses and adapted to them. The program’s tri-city format also ensured I gained global exposure.
12 months at SP Jain completely changed my mindset as I got to know my business and the role of my family in it better. It also made me appreciate and value the hard work that our mentors have put in. Today, lessons from this course allow me to persuade others, reconcile differing viewpoints and make rational business decisions. As I move forward to create value in the corporate world, I will always remember what I learnt in this course, the main one being: sale is vanity, cash is reality and profit is sanity.
Before enrolling on the program, our business operated with limited knowledge of international practices and traditional management techniques. Our network was confined locally, and strategic thinking focused on short-term gains rather than long-term sustainability. Post-course, we've gained advanced business acumen, a global network, and proficiency in modern management tools. Our operations have adopted innovation and automation, enhancing efficiency and competitiveness. This course has significantly transformed our family business into a forward-thinking global enterprise.
The Global Family Managed Business (GFMB) course was transformative, guiding me to discover my true calling within my family business. Before, my focus was on fulfilling existing roles, but the program unveiled my unique strengths and potential contributions. Crafting a business plan during the course was both enlightening and enjoyable, revealing new ways to innovate and add value. Now, armed with strategic insights and a clearer direction, I'm equipped to make a meaningful impact and drive our business forward with confidence and purpose.
Attending SP Jain's GFMB program has been one of the most incredible experiences of my life. The course excels in striking a perfect balance between theoretical knowledge and practical application. The faculty members are extremely supportive, even outside of lectures. I highly recommend this program to anyone looking to advance their family business. It broadens your perspective in a way that transforms everything.
I would recommend the course to all the scions of Indian family businesses. The course is as practical as you can imagine it to be. The experience that the faculties offer is phenomenal. Every challenge that you could think of which a young entrepreneur just finding his way around working with his family and experienced employees can think of will be touched upon. The course transforms you into thinking bigger.
Joining the GFMB course has profoundly impacted my entrepreneurial journey. It offers practical insights and global perspectives and has helped me balance business growth with my technical interests, fulfilling my initial goals.
The program provided me with insights into corporate practices and international exposure and ensured a practical education that helped me achieve my business goals. It goes beyond theoretical case studies, preparing you to navigate the real-world complexities of managing a family business.
