On March 30, 2023, SP Jain School of Global Management welcomed the Batch 12 students of the Master in Global Luxury Goods & Services Management (MGLuxM) program in partnership with POLIMI Graduate School of Management. The orientation event was conducted at The Club Mumbai, Juhu.

Smita Jain – Director, MGLuxM, welcomed the students and pumped up their spirits by giving a brief overview of the course's benefits. It prepared them for the next year of intense learning in the dual city learning module – with the first semester in Mumbai and the second semester in Milan.

A power panel discussion on - Is India ready to accelerate luxury with 'Homegrown?' was held. Moderated by Ms Jain, the panel comprised the following speakers:

The students had an engaging experience as industry experts shared their insights into the present and the future of the Indian luxury space. They urged the students to be disruptive and innovative while promoting the homegrown.

Following the panel discussion was the student introduction. Batch 12 of MGLuxM features a diverse group of students from various backgrounds and industries, with some having extensive experience in the industry.

After the lunch break, the faculty shared some important disciplinary and academic guidelines like the timetable, dress code and the moral values that SP Jain stands for and believes in. A formal class photograph was taken with the program director, professors, managers, along with individual student portraits to mark the start of their academic session.
